At rehearsal for Live The Dream womens conference at HPC, band working on some song specials while staff and volunteers tackle the task of putting together an awesome opportunity for God to show off in some women’s lives!

I love seeing this side of any major event, always nice to slow down and take it in every now and then.

I got to be a part of a really cool event Sunday evening in Baton Rouge. The Epic Worship team and Jason Laird were invited to lead worship and be a part of a one night event where 6 different Asian churches in our community came together for a time of fellowship, fun, and food (can you say sushi?)

Really awesome event to be able to join in as God tears down walls and builds relationships between the diverse family of believers! We even got invited to join the fellowship next time!

I don’t know if I’ve ever sat down and penned a post about this yet, so I think its just about time.

My wonderful mother got involved in the blogger world (it sounds so dark when you say it that way) around a year or so ago (total chronological guess). Since then she’s had really awesome opportunities, gotten the chance to write, and even speak a little, in some really awesome circles of women in the online community.

Anyway, she just posted this and I thought it was pretty cool. Check out this post about Hurricane Gustav and trusting God, good stuff.
