I should probably wait until I have more time to ponder this and make it more poetic and such, but I’ve just got to share it.
It seems like every new opportunity to travel and meet new people brings a new method for God to display not only his love for us, but His willingness to saturate our lives with it if we will walk in it. Follow me here…
We could have had many reactions to arriving in Sicily, from frustration to apathy, it was all possible and very understandable. But we chose to simply walk in the only love we knew… “ciao”, and a smile. Since my first double-kiss in the homeland, God has continued to pour favor and compassion, into us and the people we are meeting.
You would be absolutely amazed if you had just sat in the conversation Tabitha, Mark Bordelon, and myself just sat in at lunch. To start with zero knowledge and be able to communicate with almost anyone in the building is incredible! We talk about everything from music to school. Mark and I even taught them how to “TIGER BAIT!”
All this to say that God will let you do the seemingly impossible if you will simply choose to walk in His love and share it with everyone around you.

This is Scott Steelman and translator laying down the word right now during our 1st session, and God is really flowing through him.
Interesting fact… it is 11pm right now, and service just started, because we just finished eating! I love these people!
The language barrier is a very weak one here, we’re able to converse decently, and even practice our italian, and I’ve already had a few offers to move to Sicily and live with my new family :)
God is really doing something incredible over here, I wish I could take each of you here to experience the hunger and passion for God’s word that is flowing from these hearts.
I haven’t found high-speed internet yet, so the high quality pics are still on their way. But don’t worry, they are coming and trust me, they don’t do this place justice.

even in Amsterdam, everything is in English. love it.

We just landed! I wanted pictures for Dan, but I don’t have a CF card-reader on my laptop, that will have to wait till we get our luggage, and my card-reader.

God has blessed me with ancredible opportunity, something I never could have imagined… and He still delights in amazing me with a view like this. Love it. Start counting, i’ll be in the air in 8 hours!

Ok, so I’ve had one of my craziest weeks of school ever, but it is in the past now. I’m definitely suffering from tunnel vision right now. Italy Mission Trip is right around the corner. Ok, it’s tomorrow. Ah God is awesome. Why me? How in the world have I been chosen for this amazing opportunity. Praise God for trusting me enough to place me in positions to spread His love and scatter His word across the globe!

As you can expect, there will be many blog moments to come, starting tomorrow morning. Also, the “LIVECAM” page is going to become active hopefully! My plan is to have it go live whenever there is a worship service in Italy. I’ll let you know in advance when to be looking on the page, but just be ready. And no, this isn’t to make rockstars out of our worship team, I just know that personally, I love seeing and hearing about the awesome things this “family” is able to be a part of.

Keep your prayer shoes on for our entire team, for wisdom in decision making for our leaders and guides, for effectiveness in His plan, for unity in our group, and most of all that we plant good seed!
