Quick, think of a word, the weirdest word you know. You know what I’m talking about, it’s that word that makes less and less sense the more times you say it out loud.

Now post it in a comment!

Here is 2 to get you started:

-platypus

Now go for it!

I don’t know if I’ve ever sat down and penned a post about this yet, so I think its just about time.

My wonderful mother got involved in the blogger world (it sounds so dark when you say it that way) around a year or so ago (total chronological guess). Since then she’s had really awesome opportunities, gotten the chance to write, and even speak a little, in some really awesome circles of women in the online community.

Anyway, she just posted this and I thought it was pretty cool. Check out this post about Hurricane Gustav and trusting God, good stuff.

I’m not gonna lie to you, this thing is gonna be big. If you haven’t already signed up I suggest you head over to www.servolution.org right now and do just that. Be a part of something bigger than yourself, and be able to show God’s love in practical ways all across our community. I’ll see you there.

I can’t believe I haven’t done this yet, but here goes…

If you haven’t heard yet, the new worship album from Healing Place Church is here. EPIC Worship is the

heartbeat of the next generation of worshipers from Healing Place. The new album contains 13 original songs that you can grab at the HPC Online Store, or you can purchase and download them online at many fine music retailers like iTunes, Amazon.com, Rhapsody, Napster, eMusic, etc. This is not only something that I’m extremely honored to be a part of, but I really believe it captures the heart and passion of the student ministries here at HPC. Sure I’m biased, but hopefully you don’t write this off simply as self-promotion. Check it out, I think you’ll like it.

So its been a while since I updated the picture section (or the blog in general). Anyway, I just uploaded about 100 photos, all from the camera phone since around January. Not really in any particular order, just take them for what they’re worth!

That being said, the main thing that has kept me from keeping up with the blog is my new fascination with Twitter. I really don’t know how else to explain it other than telling you to watch this video. Basically, it’s life between (or instead of) blog posts.

So, if you’re interested, check me out @ twitter.com/joshbob.

That’s all for now. This summer is going to be good for the blog I think, got a little traveling planned and enough free time to change up a few things around here hopefully.

Blah blah blah, check out the photo section.

Well it took long enough, but I’ve finally got a new look off the ground. Major man love goes out to Señor Song for his wealth of web skillz; I’m an idiot otherwise. Anyway, the whole thing is from scratch and is hopefully the start of more stuff like this. It definitely won’t be this long till we switch themes again.

There are still a few bugs so if you see anything quirky just leave me a comment. Thank ya.

Now, as always, off to revise a paper…

Guys, check it out… In an effort to get one step ahead of the weather, we decided to move the venue for the HPC Men’s Conference, TONIGHT ONLY (Friday) to the Annex! We’ll be using both auditoriums so it’s going to be rocking and there will be plenty of space available. It’s really going to be an incredible weekend, Ii you haven’t signed up it’s no big deal. Show up and sign up at the doors. You’d better be there!

New stuff coming soon around here, hopefully a step forward. Trying to hurry and finish before school starts back up. Pointless post.

What are your plans for Spring Break? Easter? For me it’s been school/helping around the annex/trying to build a new blog/relaxing a little.

If you don’t have any plans this Easter and you’re in the Baton Rouge area, I want to extend an invite to Easter @ HPC. I’ll be around all weekend at Highland Road, it’s definitely going to be an incredible weekend.

So, let’s hear your plans for Easter and your magical spring break stories? Go go go.

Alright, so I locked the previous post, no more commenting, sorry it was getting a little out of hand! And I delete a few that were a little harsh. It’s interesting to see what everyone’s opinions are. For those that are wondering, I have spoken with the author of the original post and we both agree that the flow of ideas is an awesome thing! That being said, you still have to be able to isolate the idea from the person who proposed it. Bashing people for their ideas = not cool.

I love how passionate everyone has been, and I really think that kind of attitude is what we need to keep us from the perils of mindless marketing that churches are in danger off.  You guys rock.

Check it. Came across this blog this morning. Apparently this guy is not exactly a fan of the HPC Experience? Take a look for yourself. What’s your opinion? Do you agree with him? Do you think it’s a little interesting that he works with “church branding”? Let’s hear it!
